Maybe that's why Gen X tend to be more cautious and stricter parents; they remember all of the dangerous activities they used to get up to as kids!

25 Nostalgic to the Max 80s Memes for Gen X Ladies Who Want to Take a Bike Ride Down Memory Lane
If you were to ask anyone what was the best decade to grow up in, they'd probably say the one that they themselves grew up in. A Gen Zer would enthusiastically say that the early 2000s were an amazing time to grow up in; they had unrestricted access to an ad-free YouTube, most movies came with a second disc filled with games and behind-the-scenes features, and they got to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender live on Nickelodeon.
A Millennial might then argue that the 90s were the best decade to grow up in. They spent their days taking care of Tamagotchis, surfin' the (primitive) web so long as their parents weren't on the phone, and catching the latest movies from Disney's Renaissance era.
However, only Gen X know the true best decade to grow up in: the 80s. Unfortunately for all of these youngesters, they simply never got to live it. You can't blame them; they don't know any better. If you're childhood was filled with Monchhichis, hose water, and shoulder pads, scroll down for nostalgia.
